Jaw and bite problems

Did you know that up to 12% of the population will suffer from jaw and bite problems at some point in their lives?  These issues can manifest in different ways, from face and neck pain to headaches, as well as teeth grinding and clicking, popping or locking jaw joints. If any of this sounds familiar, then book a consultation now to see how we can help relieve your issues and restore your smile.

A better bite

We are one of the few practices in the UK to regularly use T Scan Bite Analysis. A cutting-edge piece of digital software that safely and accurately analyses how your teeth bite and react when your jaws come together, revealing any imbalances of pressure or contact. By fully understanding your bite, we can work with you to look after your teeth, any dental solutions you might have and to improve your overall health. This includes:

  • A more stable and balanced bite
  • Balanced jaw and facial muscles
  • Reducing in the chance of broken or fractured teeth
  • Protecting dental crowns, bridges and veneers
  • Monitoring changes in bite over time
  • Accurately planning future dental work
  • Reducing dental visits, saving you time and money

Detailed data

We also use revolutionary analytic tools to measure your muscle activity while biting. EMG analysis is quick and easy to use, and will highlight any jaw or facial muscle issues brought about by your bite. In conjunction with our other tests this can be incredibly helpful for people with jaw, bite and muscle issues.

Innovative solutions

We are excited to be able to offer a truly innovative treatment for jaw pains – one that is worn in your ears instead of your mouth! While traditional treatments are uncomfortable, difficult to adjust and impractical, we use an in-ear solution that helps you retain a relaxed jaw position.

These ear inserts are custom-made to fit practically invisible. They can be worn all day, apart from showering, swimming or playing contact supports, and their hollow design leaves you clear to hear.
