Full arch bridgework
Full arch bridgework is a great option if you are missing multiple teeth. Upper, lower or full mouths can be restored with fixed bridgework. Our specialist dentists use the most cutting-edge dentistry to help you rediscover your bright, natural smile.
Dental implants
Full arch bridgework typically uses four to six dental implants per arch, which have a range of benefits:
- Long-lasting
- Strong, fixed teeth that allow you to eat any food you like
- No need to reshape, remove or damage healthy teeth surrounding the gap
- A healthy mouth: missing teeth can cause a variety of problems, such as teeth movement, difficulty maintaining oral hygiene, gum disease and even further tooth loss
- A beautiful, natural-looking smile
- Better, more comfortable eating which is linked with better overall health and wellbeing.
How realistic do implants look?
Dental implants use innovative new techniques and materials to look just like real teeth:
- A high-quality, light-permeable, white porcelain that lets light pass through
- Crowns to fit when you bite and move your mouth in every direction
- Using both observation and digital photography to help colour match to your teeth
The process
As with any of our treatments we’ll understand your needs and discuss all of the options when you come in for a consultation, before providing you with a comprehensive treatment plan.
Our specialists use the finest and best researched materials and techniques made by world leaders in the field of implant placement, production and research. They carefully and gently place the titanium implant into the bone and leave it to bond for a few weeks. Once it has bonded, your dentist will make moulds of your teeth and gums to model a tooth-like top that will be glued or screwed onto the implant, depending on which kind you choose. As the process takes several weeks, we can provide a temporary restoration to fill the gap if required, ensuring at no point will you be without teeth.
Helping you heal
We’ll provide you with expert care before, during and after the process to make sure that your new implant takes hold and that you heal quickly. This covers everything from what to do before your surgery, to guidance on oral hygiene, discomfort management and eating and drinking afterwards.
