X-rays (really called Radiographs) are taken during an examination or investigation to examine parts of the teeth, jaw bone and existing restorations (filling, crowns, root fillings) that we cannot otherwise see.
This helps us with diagnosis, treatment planning and monitoring of your teeth and gums so that you receive the most appropriate treatment.
We use digital radiography and this uses digital x-ray sensors rather like modern digital cameras.
